Since we launched the FE Blog in February, we have provided a number of updates on the latest developments in construction law and in the industry generally. We will continue to do so in the coming months, as there are a number of important current and developing topics for us to write about.

Our intention for the FE Blog was for it to be interactive and for the readers to leave comments to which we, in turn, would respond. So far, this has had some success, with comments being made both on the blog and on social media. We hope the interactive element of the blog will attract some lively debate in the future.

In my experience debate works better face to face, which is why we host a number of seminars each year at which we provide updates on new contracts, recent cases and topical developments and encourage debate on current issues with (and between) our clients and contacts.

We have another Construction Law Update seminar on 6 July, at which my colleagues Jatinder Garcha, Jonathan More and I will be talking about the 2016 JCT contracts and providing a general case law update, with the focus on payment and termination. We hope that these topics will be of interest and that what we have to say about them will spark some discussion.
