Fenwick Elliott grows its team
Fenwick Elliott is pleased to announce that we have promoted James Mullen and Robbie McCrea from Associates to Senior Associates. James’ and Robbie’s new roles took effect from 20 January 2017. These new additions bring the number of Senior Associates in the firm to 10.
James has broad experience across the building and civil engineering sectors, advising clients on both UK and international engineering and building projects. He has experience of all the major standard forms of contract including JCT, NEC and FIDIC as well as advising on bespoke contracts used in international and domestic construction and engineering projects.
James specialises in dispute avoidance, including strategic advice during the course of a project, and dispute resolution, and has acted for employers, contractors and subcontractors in all forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, adjudication, arbitration (UK and international) and Technology and Construction Court (TCC) proceedings.
Robbie is experienced in all aspects of construction projects and he specialises predominantly in contentious areas.
Prior to his move to the UK in 2014, Robbie practised in a specialist construction law team in New Zealand where he was heavily involved in both contentious and non-contentious elements of the rebuild of Christchurch city following the 2010/2011 earthquakes. He is enrolled as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
Robbie has acted for various types of parties on a wide range of construction and engineering issues, and represented clients in litigation, mediation, arbitration and adjudication. Robbie has also acted for contractors in several international disputes involving dispute board adjudication and international arbitration.
